Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) ripped Trump for using force to break up a peaceful protest, since the GOP is showing signs of breaking.
This is Sasse’s announcement:
BEN SASSE announcement:”There’s not any right to riot… However there’s a basic –a Constitutional–directly to protest, and I am against clearing out a peaceful protest for a photo op that treats the Word of God as a political recourse.”

Sasse is your first Republican Senator to condemn Trump, and if recent history is a guide, there will not be more, however, Sasse’s announcement combined with polling revealing Trump yanking his lowest approval on the pandemic response among Republicans is a sign that Trump is losing his grasp on a section of the Republican Party.
Trump’s margin of victory has been 80,000 votes in several nations, so the President can not afford to eliminate any Republican support 2020. A one-point Republican reverse from Trump into Biden at Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin will be enough to place Biden from the White House and finish the Trump presidency.
The great majority of Republicans will probably be overly terrified of Republican retribution to speak out from Trump, but it just requires a couple to possibly swing enough Republicans to get Trump from the White House.
